What file formats are supported?

We recommend using the files included in the LearnBrite library as they are already optimized, but if others demand to be imported the preferred format is glTF (.glb/.gltf) .

If that is not possible, t he platform supports a diversity of standard formats, including:

  • FBX (.fbx), ASCII-encoded (binary encoded of FBX files are not supported at this time)
  • Wavefront OBJ (.obj)
  • Collada (.dae)
  • 3D Manufacturing Format (.3mf)

Where tin I find the library of 3D items?

The platform includes a library of 3D items, which can be accessed from the edit bill of fare – by clicking on Add together content  in version 2.ten+, or Add item  on earlier versions. The content browser available since version 2.ten allows to search in Sketchfab and Google Poly libraries every bit well as the LearnBrite one.

We have a number of guides available in the Academy to interface with different 3D model providers:

  • Guide to using Remix3D and Paint3D with Scenario
  • Guide to using Google Poly/Blocks with Scenario
  • Guide to using SketchUp 3Dwarehouse with Scenario
  • Guide to using SketchFab with Scenario

Uploading 3D Models

Uploading on LearnBrite Storage

Each LearnBrite account includes hosting space. Yous can upload 3D models, images, sound and mp4 files for use in your spaces.

To do so, you can follow this guide: https://learnbrite.com/academy/storage-files/

Bundling with ChatMapper

At that place is a flim-flam to calculation 3D assets and getting them uploaded to the server with a scenario using ChatMapper Bundle export, which finer creates a zip file.

There is a limit of upload size of 100MB for a ChatMapper Package

  1. Add a New Particular (CTRL+SHIFT+I) and name it

  1. In its backdrop, under "Pictures" click Add new file .

  1. In the newly added input box, click the […]  push
  2. Choose a file that is in the same folder or subfolder of the .cmp project file

  1. Echo for whatsoever file you want to bundle.
  2. When finished, click on File > Export > Conversation Mapper Package (CMPKG) ;  this will produce a zip file containing all the files referenced by the chatmapper projection and create a conversation.json export in the zip at the aforementioned fourth dimension.
  3. Upload the newly-exported CMPKG to dashboard as a scenario file. Exist aware uploading a cmpkg will delete any historical files here such as conversation.json.

You might get an mistake when exporting the parcel. This will mostly happen in two cases:

  1. A file yous referenced is non actually there (it could accept been renamed, or perhaps moved to some other folder)
  2. You included the same file more than once. This is non supported, if you want to include the same file multiple times you lot volition need to create a copy with a different proper name

If you need a URL for the file, a couple additional steps are required:

  1. In the scenario's edit page (where you would upload the .json or .cmpkg files), a listing of files volition be presented afterwards any successful upload.

  1. Get the path to your item by right clicking on the filename ,  and cull Audit

  1. Copy the path and add together https://app.learnbrite.com/dashboard/  to the forepart, which will requite you a full URL, like https://app.learnbrite.com/dashboard/s/75dd9655eb7ec2c0f3779b7bd/Dell_Visor.glb

You tin at present add the item in edit mode using this URL.

Uploading on Dropbox

Dropbox only supports 3D items in a single file. We recommend using the .glb format, as it includes all geometry and textures in one file. glTF files that reference a .bin or texture files will not work, though you tin can use a service such as https://glb-packer.glitch.me/  to parcel glTF files into a single GLB.

To use a file from Dropbox:

  1. Go the share link for the file from dropbox
    https://www.dropbox.com/due south/ab86owawfyijyp0/Dell_Visor.glb ?dl=0
  2. Re-write it as follows
    https:// dl .dropbox.com/s/ab86owawfyijyp0/Dell_Visor.glb
  3. Add the detail to the space using the modified URL

Uploading on Google Drive

Google Drive only supports 3D items in a single file. We recommend using the .glb format, as information technology includes all geometry and textures in i file. glTF files that reference a .bin or texture files will not work, though you can use a service such as https://glb-packer.glitch.me/  to packet glTF files into a single GLB.

    https://bulldoze.google.com/open?id= 1aReG-2R5E6w8GSYo9w_lwnVBM1Z2Ffpz
  2. Re-write information technology as follows:
    https://hurl.learnbrite.com/pr/https://bulldoze.google.com/uc?consign=download&id= 1aReG-2R5E6w8GSYo9w_lwnVBM1Z2Ffpz &.glb
  1. Add together the detail to the space using the modified URL

Treating 3D items every bit Scenery (aka dropping items onto other items)

Y'all can set up a 3D particular as Static Scenery. This allows you to drag items over it and place them on superlative of the scenery. Information technology also means the item is locked so you can't accidentally elevate it while editing a scene and ruin your fine tuning (we know how frustrating that can be!).
